a garden brought back
Half an acre that had not been touched in twelve years, rebuilt over nine weeks.
What the plot needed
Drainage had failed along the north boundary, the lawn was more moss than grass, and a row of self-seeded sycamore had put the whole west side into shade. We took the trees down under licence, cut in a French drain, regraded and returfed, then rebuilt the borders with a scheme that holds structure through winter.
